Considering your chain and sprockets were fecked, and your can is illegal, it could have been worse, at least the crash only seems to have damaged cosmetic items (and a switch). Try not to let it get you down.

they aint ****ed, they're safe, tense, but they have no more adjustment on them for when they go lose again, so will that pass?

only in hell
Illegal Can
as long as its not marked 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' you'll get away with it.... unless it is silly loud
Old chain n Sprockets
cover them in a silly amount of chain wax so they can't see the actual chain and sprockets ;)
Dipped beams not working because the switch is ****ed
little bit of wire and some insulating tape and hard wire the dipped beam in the on position
having no fairing on it
shouldn't be an issue

thankyou :D i'll take it somewhere who wont be as stingent,
the dipped lights dont work though because the switch just doesnt do anything? it flicks on and off but it just doesnt turn the bulb on or off, and the bulb does work

Illegal Can
depends on the tester. If it says "not for road use" / "race use only" then expect to fail
Old chain n Sprockets
Doubt it. More likely get an advisary to get it sorted.
Dipped beams not working because the switch is ****ed
YES.. and the switch burning out is a common nc30 fault. They come in to the country with jap bulbs and we cant get them. So higher watt bulbs get used instead and burn the switchgear contacts. It happened to mine. But i got 2 almost new switch gears that you can choose from young sam!
having no fairing on it
Nah, as long as what is on it is secured and no sharp bits are visable. Health and saftey you see.

the can has got not for road use on it but its not easily found, unless you're looking for it

Worth a try, would they clean the can to look for it? :D its under 4 or 5 months crap

Yeah, those things aren't bad other than the switch, that'll have to be fixed.
I go an MOT place in Maldon, they seem to be fine. The can is definitely a fail with the 'not for road use' stamp, just take it somewhere a bit leniant. If it's covered in dirt then it's a jackpot!
Sounds like it should pass to me, I had the XJ fail on bent brake levers though, did they get fecked in the crashed?

ok so the ones that HAVE to be done you reckon are lights, and broken brake levers then take it to somewhere like bits n pieces n ask nicely? or is that a bad stupid idea?

Can should be a fail, but some turn a blind eye.
Sprocket and chain not a fail as long as they are safe.
No fairing should be ok, except front indicators, and jagged brackets sticking out.
no dip beam can be fixed by dismantling switchgear and cleaning contacts, and consider relay conversion details can be found on 400greybike. I can (and will) help with this if needed.
