Took the bike down to the tyre repair shop, and they have told me that they cannot repair the tyre because it has been fitted with slime (like ultraseal but cheaper).
Im now at a loss, the bike shop want 104 pound for a replacement tyre because there is a BT020 fitted at the front and it has to be another radial or something to be legal.
What can i do now? Part worn tyres? Anyone sell part worn tyres? Any kind of puncture repair kit that i could use/fit that would last me for the rest of the tyre life?
tyre size is 160/60/R16
any help appreciated!

Yeah, just buy the usual puncture repair kit that a bike shop sells (can't recall the name). But don't buy the vac packed one with the red tool handle etc, cos it sucks major! :)

Well my dads come through on me,
Said he'll lend me the 104 quid for a new back tyre, apparently the bikeshop were saying there is a continental tyre that works a lot better, and gives more mileage then a BT020.
Tempting with that other tyre BT010 though....
Although the BT020 i have fitted is radial..and you cant mix cross ply and radial.

I agree with the repair option myself that Ducky mentioned. The blokes in the garage have to follow the tyre manufacturers ruling on what they can and can't repair, some say you can do stuff that others say is impossible. If you do it yourself (take the tyre off and wash it out first) it should last the life of the tyre.

I have the Sport Attack which has the same tread pattern but a supposedly slightly softer compound, and the tread pattern being the same is awesome ;) :)

Good to hear. You know, I spent ages trawling the web to look for a cheap tyre for you. I failed miserably. Not that many places actually did that size and I didn't think it was anything unusual at all.
