On bmx i can :grin2

Or if i hit a speed hump at about 50 and yank on the handle bars i can get the front up about 6 inchs for the duration of the hump, although i can double the hight if its a real sleeping policeman :laugh2

wheelies in 1st thats scary!!! i have only ever done 1 proper one 40 to 60ish then followed by some strange feeling in my bowls as the car that was miles infront of me had in fact stopped!! 2nd gear 40mph then rev and slowly dump the cluth (thats how i did it but im pretty bad in comparrison with some)

EverSoSlightlyFasterThanU
26-01-2006, 03:10 PM
i can get the front to lift and sometimes get it into second but i would not say that i can wheely

porka
26-01-2006, 03:38 PM
i can wheelie, and stoppie.
i do it just off the power in first and off the clutch in second. but i learnt to do mine with someone on the bike.
its a wicked feeling. i find it easier if im in second at 40mph 5,000rpm pull clutch until i see 8,00 on the clock then slip it up and they float up nice and gentle.

wouldnt say im a god but i can do it.

Effort
26-01-2006, 07:25 PM
i can make it hover off ground. don't like it coming up to far in case it crosses up.

Juvenilerider
27-01-2006, 11:01 AM
Getting ya knee down looks cool, but you dont HAVE to do, same with wheelies and stoppies and everything... but it'd look the nuts seeing a bike tanking around a corner with knee on deck and then floatin the front wheel up after the corner :D - TOTALLY pointless, dangerous and bad for the bike and licence but hey

27-01-2006, 11:07 AM
i'm never sure whether i would rather be able to do a really sh*t hot wheely or a really sh*t hot stoppy......

wheelies are safer... if it all goes a bit pete tong... with a wheelie you've got fighting chance to save it...

So did I, for both of us ha!

Tankslappers are cool aswell, the coolest thing in the world EVER would be to see a Mille and an SP2 side by side coming off a roundabout, slight tanker slapper and spanking it into a massive wheelie then nailing it :D

the worse one i had was at the end of last year.... it happened in a straight line under hard acceralation

bike slapped hard, lock to lock to lock to lock to lock.... this went on for sometime... really thought i was going to end up sliding down the road on my arse

a friend was right behind me at the time.... at the next junction i stopped and thanked the lord i didn't crash....

mate pulls up ****ing himself with laughter

ha! I take it that it was either HARD acceleration or you don't have a steering damper. Have you got the 636?

HARD acceleration or you don't have a steering damper.

i'm not giving up hard acceleration so a steering damper will be fitted soon

dark grey (rougher) at the other.... i just about managed to wheelie the lenght of the dark grey bit... which considering i haven't ridden for a couple of months is exellent :D
