there are 2 748s in John Vines (have seen it on the map, should be ok to get there but it is in the southest of essex so might be a bit scary!)
and I am JUST LOOKING to motivate myself to save all my little pennies so i can afford one for next year

John is a complete w*nker, so expect strange treatment. If possible give off the "I am buying a bike" vibe and make them work hard.
It is fairly easy to find, not too far from the pub. Is my neck of the woods if you need directions.

total tw*t of a bloke he is in my humble one, went in there to ask how much for a full dealer service was, he couldnt answer the question but gave a "around £200"
what do you mean around "£200"?
well it depends on what needs doing
i want a book service, that means change whatever is supposed to be changed and check everything that is supposed to be checked.
well the shims might need doing
so how much if it does, but seeing as you would have stripped everything to find that out just add the price of the shims to the service and tell me how much i am looking at.
It doesnt work like that
It does everywhere else so goodbye! :D
And as far as his bikes go, haggle like hell.
He doesnt shift them half the time, he has a Mille sat in there that he had this time last year, only he has in that time knocked £600 off it, its spanking for the money but still slightly over the book price so expect the same even at this time of the year ;)

thanks for the warning. I'm not going in to buy, just to bat my eyelashes and sit my ass on a 748 to see how it fits. i'm pretty sure that's what i want now.
i also want to have a listen to a couple so i know what they should/shouldn't sound like.......probably like a bag of spanners given the fact that ducatis are actually made from sticky back plastic and hair clips but will be good to know!
