About time they took the sting out of the rumour behind him possibly having a future in F1.

FERRARI CONFIRMS ROSSI TEST
Last Updated: Friday, 27, January, 2006, 10:59
Ferrari has confirmed that MotoGP ace Valentino Rossi will join the team for testing at Valencia next week.
And, whereas his three previous runs in the Ferrari have been kept away from the spotlight, this time Rossi will test alongside the squad’s race drivers Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa as well as rival teams.
It will therefore be the first real opportunity for Rossi and the team to assess whether he has the potential to switch disciplines from two wheels to four.
The Italian will drive a V10-powered Ferrari F2004, while Schumacher and Massa are expected to alternate between the F2004 and the new 248 F1.
The Valencia test takes place on January 31 to February 2 and will be attended by Honda, McLaren, Williams, BMW and Toyota.
I would much prefer to see him have a go at the TT first though :D
