I asked the very same question a few months back.Get a dyno run done on it first, you may find that you wont benefit from fitting a jet kit.Thats what happened with mine(2002 zx636 A1P),all I've got is a Race can.I took it to a place called Banjax in east london,I was originally going to have a jet kit fitted, but he wanted to give it a run first just to see whats happening.Just with the can it was putting out 106bhp and the bloke recomended I left it alone. He said he'd fit a kit if I wanted but I really wouldn't gain much.He said that they usually come in at about 104bhp and he's even had them in the 90's so 106bhp is quite good:clap Sorry but I cant remember how much it all costs....I know it's very cheap for a dyno run.........
Hope this helps:grin2 :grin2 :rockon :jumping2 :jumping2

Are you running an aftermarket exhaust only or do you have a full system?
if its just the can then you would'nt see much if any difference like faceslider said.....it only really makes any difference/you'll only benefit if you have a full system and then you'd accompany it with a decent air filter like a k&n.

Go for a dyno run anyways see what the bikes putting out.....you'd only gain an extra couple bhp anyway......it also depends on what kit is available for your bike. Stage 1 kits arent really worth the bother unless your bike is running poo already.....if you can get a stage 2 or 3 then you'll notice a difference.....my advice though is get a fuel injected bike...then spend a s**t load on a full akro system, power commander, tre and full set up on a dyno.............just like i did.....best £1300 i ever spent!

Dynospeed developments, the bloke that runs the show builds and races 500bhp+ busas ;)

He is also a franchised dealer fro Dynojet stuff and has a really good rolling road setup too.

Paul Watson is the bloke you need down there and you couldnt meet a more helpful bloke :)

remember dynojet isn't just about top end power...
its about the curves... getting a nice flat torque curve and maybe a little extra bhp in the lower/ mid range... and top too depending what else is fitted/done

if you have a full system fitted a dynojet diy kit maybe the way forward (other wise the bike would run too lean)
zx6r's run slightly rich so fitting just an end can doesn't require any other changes, but a decent rolling road operator will be able to get an improvement in drive-ability

although a good tuner won't use a dyno kit, as he'll have an the needles to do the job

the oem kawa filter flows the same if not more than a k&n on a zx6r G,J,A models..
the only benefit your'll get from a k&n is servicing and a slightly different induction sound (and a sticker)
(although the oem foam filter on your bike can also be cleaned and re-oiled, but i'd only do this once and then replace it, with a k&n I'd be happy to clean and re-oil until the bike died its nature death)

a cheap quick mod to improve throttle response on your bike would be a 'factory' ignition advancer, but then you may want to only run it on optimate grade petrol ... although this is a personal thing... some people say they can feel a difference... other say they can't.... others say they can feel a difference but preferred it stock

i take it your've already changed your gearing...?

i don't know how you keep the front or the floor with two teeth down on the front...
