sat on a 749 today, FAR TOO TALL and cried all the way home so i tried to make myself feel better by shouting at phil when i got in. big mistake.

i then decided to spend a little while in the garage cleaning the cb's chain. radio 1 was on (!!!), they played nirvana and then house of pain and then everything felt better. chain looks pretty good too!

am i turning into a man because i now understand the shed thing.....

i'm finding out about bigger boots and a lowering kit, :clap i know a 749 isn't the same as a 748 but the bloke in parky's was very helpful and told me all about what to watch out for if i did decide to get a 748, and at least i got an idea because they are similar seat heights even if they headlight on the 749 looks like w*nk

please excuse the long post i am drowning my sorrows in red wine

roll on ally pally on sunday, i need retail therapy

ps they did have a very nice little ducati slapper top which i thought i would console myself with. except they didnt have my sixe the b*stards. oh well i will look on sunday

Aww, chin up! My sister has the same problem. She 5ft 0".

Just get some 70's disco platform boots!

I'm sure there is something you can get, like stacked boots and such.

Don't give up hope!

well the story is much better today.

went into a wee shop in colchester to look for 125 for phil. what should be in the corner but a lovely 748 with fsh, 15000 miles, under budget but red. which i am trying to decide whether i can live with!!!

Most importantly it was a much better fit. The bloke says he can get it down by another inch for a test ride so think i a, gonna give it a go if it still there next saturday.

all is not lost. and i am checking out the boots, they are daytona ladystars, £200 and raise you by an inch. just need to see if i can zip my fat right ankle in......grrrrrrrr!

not at the mo. the plan was to have a little go on saturday, then even if i absolutely love it not to put anything down on it until early next week. i'll see who's around then.

my dad can look at it on sunday but they won't be open then. we'll see what happens.

i think you would struggle to do that down hythe quay. and you'd end up in the river if you got it wrong!
