Buy the best you can afford. You've only got one body. If your mates take the p**s, show them some road rash photos.

Leather trousers are preferable, a good set of armoured, waterproof trousers as well. If you're flush, you might wat to consider a pair od kevlar lined, armoured jeans like Draggin' make.

eBay is always a good place to go shopping or if you're buying your bike from a dealer, try and get him to do a deal on a lid, jacket, trousers and helmet.

yea thanx m8 i dont care wat my m8s say they are all gettin mopeds lol wich in my opinion sounds like hairdriers on wheels... i was thinkin bout getin sum leather trousers but i got a budget of around 400-500 quid 2 get the clothing eg helmet, gloves, jacket, trousers, boots. most things are cheap enuff on ebay ive already looked for helmets and that but the boots are the biggest problem because they r like 150 minimum for sum good ones... thanx anyways

With £400-500 you can get some very good quality gear that'll last you past your 50cc days and on to your first big bike (assuming that's where you want to go).

if you can get yourself to a bike show I picked up some nice stuff there for bargain prices! Plus you get to drool over some impressive machines!

Don't forget you can haggle at a show over price!
