What are all your top speeds for the TZR125 ?? i can get a Strong 60mph then it all depends on the wether and terrain whether i can get 70mph but one point it was very windy i was going down a duel carrage way and i got 80-85mph? whats up with that i dont have the powervalves! for it should be getting them from Fubar but is that what i should be getting or what?? because ive heard of fifties getting strong 60mph so y is my 125 so slow???
And whats all your top speeds!
well if your powervalve is in the but half closed so its better at low revs it wont like to rev high and wont do much over 70. Even my TZr125R was like that when i first got it. Just to rub the Salt in I got 105 on the way to work on the flat (with my head down arse up of course!)
Yeah, i got just over a ton on my ol teazer... before it started making funny noises.... poor bike
I'm scared to go that fast on that bike for any distance. Its not in the red but at about 11700 and its quite high reving!!

I too have got just over a ton out of my old TZR.... its got the full powervalve system now but its always had that top end speed cos the valve was wide open. I did have it set the other way very very briefly.... didnt like it so changed it back :D

my old english bike would pull to around a ton (pointless being more specific cause the speedo's are pretty inacurate, especially at high speeds).
for about 30 quid yours could do that reliably, all you need is:
*cone type air filter (K&N, RAMAIR etc) if you dont already have one
*larger main jet (buy a few sizes and play a bit!)
*new piston rings - replace these as frequantly as you can to help avoid top end seizures, which are VERY common if you want these (with all due respect!!) old 125 engines to do those kinda speeds
*a couple of hours of your time to carry out the above and peg your power valve open.
if you want to run your bike at high speeds for a distance, it is definatly worth buying a front sproket with 1 or 2 more teeth, as this will give you a noticably higher top end, and not loose too much acceleration.
<remenissing of top end siezures> :doh!:

well wont have to open up the power valve! now as thanks to Furbar! now have a powervavle system just waiting on 2 cables to be imported hopefullly by about friday! then i will be fitting them!!! yay! then i plan to take my bike test in the next week or two! as i passed my bike theory test! i think it is pointless that you have to take both the car and bike as i have now taken both and there really wasnt much difference at all between them!! but hey i passed so im not complaining! i should be hitting that ton soon! but then he he if i pass me test its on to my 250 teaser!! 50bhp!! yay! well restriction kit on for a very short time (dads says so so i get used to it) so a quick whip up to the shop to get a bike mag and then back should be experiance enough for me he he then off with that then its bring it on traffic!!! he he things are looking up bike wise for me !! (jinx touch woood)
