i used to think ebay was great but now its nothing but a pain in the ass, i just looked in my mail inbox and i had 123 emails from ebay and also users of ebay asking questions about listings i havent listed! it would appear someone has got into my account and listed around 100 items between last night and now. ebay have removed the items and im guessing banned me from the site, either that or whoever got into my account has changed the password.
either way i dont want my credit card details on show to the world so how can a website as big as ebay allow someone access to my account, i thought it would have been secure, and now i cant even access it to delete it as to be honest i dont want anything to do with it.
and i better not get charge for the listings

this particular problem only normal happens when someone replies to one of the spoof emails asking you to update your details, its extremely rare for the account to be hacked any other way unfortunately J, unless of course you have something a bit more sinister other than just simple spyware on your PC.
oh and spyware is just spying on your internet habits etc, it has nothing to do with malware or adware ;)
Only possible causes for this are as i have said, by inadvertantly responding to a spoof email pretending to be from Ebay (and over the last 6 months they have started to look extremely authentic unless you know not to trust anything that asks for data from you ;) ). or you have a Trojan virus of some kind that has been able to log your keys when entering passwords etc (but this is more unlikely ;) )

I would email ebay and see what they have to say, you want to stop this person from using your account NOW.
when you get Mail from E-bay asking for you to log in Never do it. Its usually someone who has made a copy of the e-bay site. You can usually tell because the address bar isn't e-bay.co.uk and all the links on the page take you to the real e-bay site.
Same applies to Paypal e-mails.
