Is it right that the Richard Turpin has closed down, or are they just doing it up

dunno, i havent been past that way since leaving college....i know there were threats of closure if the manager didnt stop encouraging the bike and car meets. they threatened to revoke his license because of a small number of plonkers who used the 127 as a drag strip/stunt alley!!

Came past there today - was in a bit of a hurry, but from what I could glimpse, it looks like it's open, but undergone change of ownership/style.
The trees/bushes/whatever you call that greenery next to the entrance has all gone, the car park's been re-marked out (with car spaces, not bikes) and there's big '2 for 1' (I think they were) signs out front so it looks like they're pushing hard for folks stuffing their faces with grub. All change.

I guess time will tell if that revamped image has room for lots of bikers filling up the car park on Tuesday nights. Be a shame if not.

Apparently there's a pub called the White Hart or something thats almost biker friendly. We should give it a go one night
