and when you've fixed the vfr you can do my lovely clutch! see we know how to look after you!
looks like the clutch cover is covered in yuk (don't know waht) i'll post a pic so you can see where i mean. i'm not sure that what i think i mean is actually what i mean (do you see what i mean!) so that would be easiest.
keep up with the groovy drugs, they're banning coproxamol so it could all be over for diazepam soon!!!!
get better mate, i bet a nice cold ride yesterday was just what the doctor ordered :clap

Nah i sold the lot when i got posted from Cumbria to Essex, the reason being is that i thought i would never get to use it down this neck of the woods, and what happens? i get here to find i was running a TA centre that had its own indoor range and i was going to be the only person there most of the time :D
worst thing i ever did was get rid of my Superten, had some fun with that and could knock a pound coin off a fence post at 40 yards too ;)

guns...blah...blah...blah....
FYI - clutch looking less worrying than i'd thought. i think the sticky stuff is the stickiest ickiest yuckiest chain lube in the world. i'm going to top up the fluid, give it a wee pump and see how we go. Dad's Bike Maintenance is making a home visit on Saturday anyway!
heal quick mate xxx
I know how you feel bloke, just got back from doc's gaff and he's signed me off for another week............ :suprised1

The grass is always greener I suppose, right now I love my normal leisure time, never mind extra. Yesterday was wake up 5:30am. freeze half to death riding to work, open up and get stuck in, leave at 7:30pm completely stressed, freeze three quarters to death riding home, eat dinner, chill for an hour, go to sleep. Get up at 5:30am etc....................
I'm going up in the spanish mountains for a wee climb/walk at the weekend.
BRING IT ON. :rockon

from what you was saying on Wednesday, it sounds to me that the clutch is on it's way out or not adjusted right , it could be the later as you was saying that the clutch is not biting till the last bit , as the yuk, as you put is the from the clutch slipping , (Nick remember when we went to snett and that Paul had the same ?... ) as there has to be play of a few mill on the lever to let to plates engage probabaly and that could be, well, will be the reason why you having trouble pulling away smooth, it's easy enough to do just a matter of of losing the cable off at the clutch basket end, good luck,

sounds about right to me, if it was me and i had the time on my hands i would have the clutch out and give the plates a scrub with some wire wool too, just to get some abrasion back on them, clean the basket and the housing up of all the dust and muck and then finish off by adjusting the clutch :) ;)
