been doing up my mates aprilia rs 250 for past 6 months, it was already to go last weekend, started her up and water ****ed out the bottom, then realised i didnt put ant anti-freeze in it!!!! any ideas on the damage? or any advice at all, and yes i know puttint ant-freeze in is a great tip:laugh1 cheers

hi, couple of mins, i take it its an engine out jobby???, cant work out where its leaking from? im praying its just a split pipe

Possible! good luck, i hope u dont need to take it out. Can u take the radiator pipe off fully?
Just fill it up with water again and see if you can fins any drips from the pipes or clips. Tighten them all up and see how it goes. Not having anti freeze in shouldn't be a problem.
You could always get the engine running and constantly have someone pour water in the top as you figure out where its leaking from the bottom.

hi, thanks for your replys, trouble being it had no antifreeze in it when we had those real cold icy nights...oooops:shooter :laughboun thats why i think ive done so much damage. tried pouring water in the bottle while looking where its leaking from but cant see exactly, looks like its coming from the water jkt!!!!

i would have a look to see if one of the core plugs has popped out, if one has there are easy to replace, but i bet it's in the hardest place to get to tho.

hi, to one question, i ride a zx6r green meanie, an fzr in camel colours yellow peril and just brought a cbr600 to do up as a track bike..
other question, do u know where the core plugs are on a rs 250, is it an engine out job? i know its hard without seeing the bike i just dont have a clue about 2 strokers, cheers
