did you take the float chamber apart? if so did you make sure that the float was seated correctly when you put it back together?

yeah i did have the chamber apart it seemed to sit properly i gave it a clean and blew it out.
the thing is she wont start unless i blow fuel into the reed block via the carb
its like its not sucking anything in unless i blow down fuel pipe i cant get her started but once started she carries on going but only with choke.
Could this be the float chamber?

thanks

Still having this bloody problem ive now checked all jets in the carb and redone the airscrew (1 1/2) and she starts now and will idle quite happly but when i rev her up she bogs down and stalls....
im thinking to much fuel getting in so should i open up the air screw a lil more to see if that helps....

also check the choke is not getting stuck in the carburator!!!
this may affect the accelaration it will start if the choke is pulled but when u rev it it will bog down!!
also like u said check the air fuel intake, if it takes in less air then required it will be flouded!!
but i heard the adjustment of these carbs are hard!! u may need professional advise if you have altered the original settings!!

im gonna try opening up the air screw to see i'll also try droping the needle as well
It seems to be too much fuel as the plug is getting fouled with fuel....
now wont start at all LOL wants to start (bumping) and sometimes with starter but dies straight away lol.
its getting a pain now
might just take it to a garage if it carries on :(

i wouldnt change the adjustment of the needle!!
put the needle back to its original hole!
look on the internet it might give you an idea about how many turns you should turn the screw for the perfect adjustment!
To be honest u might be better off taking it down the garage!!

well i took it out for a spin yesterday LMAO in first gear with choke it bogs down and stalls at 4500rpm and in all gears as well it bogs down and dies at around 4500rpm if i roll off the throttle it comes back to lifebut still wont go above 4500 and without the choke well forget it i cant even pull away......

I think it might be a garage for me lmao its gonna do my head in too much to solve it.....

Thanks

well if you cant take it back today,
what you might have to do is, keep checkin the spark plug adjust your, carb to one setting start her up and rev it a little bit and then take out the spak plug and have a look at the condition if its wet obviosly its got too much petrol coming through, and adjust it again with allowing more air, and then try it again. BUT YOU SHOULD CLEAN THE SPAK PLUG BEFORE EACH ATTEMPT. In fact you should clean it up now and try again.

GOOD LUCK MAN.
