Hello m8!
Ermm not sure bout the engine yet - just pricing up some parts - so far its lookin like a full rebuild - con rod kit consists of big end and little end bearings and a con rod, then a piston kit + posibly a ring kit if it dont come with the piston, and the gaskets - lookin at £90 so far! :?
not sure yet man - might just do a top engd rebuild - jsut hope cylinder aint too ****ed!
thats gonna cost bucks init!

Yo Mr. Fingerz
Things are pretty good here.
I have had a go on the FZ, but only briefly. It needs a new clutch by the feels of it but thats okay coz it only costs £40.50 from M&P.
My avatar is most definately my Italian beauty - the NS. That photo was taken when it was parked out the front of the house a couple of days after I bought it. Its looking a little different now.
To see how im getting on with the rebuild, visit:

Yo!
Im running the possibility of takin' the FZ out for a spin this Saturday. Its all weather dependant of course. I aint taking a 600cc bike that I havent properly ridden yet out on a wet day. I would stack it without fail!
Dad has got quite far on his CX500 he bought the other week. He has started the respraying in a yummy metallic blue - not unlike the R1 factory colour. Tis well pretty!
May possibly get that rear wheel painted up over the weekend, its gonna be a Regatta Blue. Infact, the colour design I was looking at was:
Front & Rear Wheels and Exhaust Endcan: Regatta Blue
Everything Else: Shiny Black!
Nice and simple. :)

Yo
sounds like you got your colour scheme sorted m8!
and as for your dad's choice in colour what can i say - R1 colour is the nuts!
cant wait to get mine running right and MOT'd then get my workshop to spray it - will be the nuts!
sadly the bike is going to take a while due to the amount of money i am about to spend on it - i wish i had jsut bought the cagiva mito now! lol!
seeya!
