Can anyone recommend a 125 that is easy to ride and will give me some confidence/experience for a few months before I take my test, preferably cheap ( unlike myself ) !! Cheers !!!!! x

i did my test on an rs and i would not recommend it. luckily my tester knew about how bad the rs's are at turning and took me to an extra wide road to do it, but not everyone has such nice testers. id suggest an sr or cg, something along them lines. cheap to buy and never go wrong.

my other half is learning on an SR125, it's a doddle to ride and small too, even i could reach it for a test ride and to ride it home from woodford for him.
he's doing his test soon hopefully, and then we will be selling it. PM me if you are interested, it's W reg in MINT condition. it was cheap to buy (considerably less than a grand), cheap to insure (£90 fully comp for a year!) and seems to run on fresh air....

drew..... are you on crack..????? Cheap to run..an rs125 is not that and they are a bitch of a 1st bike. Best best is a Yam sr125 as said, or a cg125... either way you cant go wrong.

Yam SR125 or Honda CG125. Electric start is a bonus on later CGs.

i did my cbt on a cg. funky little bike.
avoid the rs though. expensive to buy, fix and run. and most have been thrashed anyway. but the new ones look the nuts. i saw on at nukems the otherday and its a beauty i had to check out aprilias website o make sure it was real. http://www.aprilia.com/models03/road/eng/modello.phtml?id=27
