The spark should be comming from the coil to your plug. If your coil isn't getting any voltage it is your cdi or generator or whatever you call it.

If the coil is getting voltage but not putting any out it is your coil but this is hard to check cos a mulit meter doesn't go up high enough.

If it is putting voltage out but not sparking it could be the HT lead.

cheers dan my coil is not getting any voltage so is got to be my c.d.i but someone told me it could be a power problem b4 the c.d.i could it be and what would it be :)

I'm Mark.

As daft as it sounds it could be a bad earth or a pin in the cdi block loose. My cbr did the same thing and after stripping it all down it was a lil black connector in the cdi wasn't making contact.

Just check all connections before you buy anyuthing new!!

Ditto - had exatly the same problem with my TZRR - one of the +ve's was earthing out on the chassis - found it EVENTUALLY and covered it up with some leccy tape :)

Its not that they are no good, its just the English TZR's are getting on a bit now, and mostof them still have all the original wiring.

It'd be nice to knwo how old your TZR125R is djpj??

The last thing u want to be thinking about replacing is the Controled Discharge Ignition unit (cdi) i very must doubt that it is the fault

So i would look for other faults like Tark and Dan have mentioned check that all ur wires are correctly pluged in and that nothing is being earthed .. also make sure that ur high tension coil is earthed correctly and that the orange low tension lead is fitted tightly also check to see if any of the leads are badly corroded or furred up

The low tension lead (orange) should be kicking out 12volts AC

hope this helped
