View Full Version : Sweat 'n' Wind

Quick couple of questions really,
Firstly, on my way to boreham sainsburys a few minutes ago it was really windy. Unfortunatley it really battered me around, apart from keeping my arms bendy and not stiff is there any other tips for stopping the wind from blowing you around so much.
Also, I've finally managed to get myself some textile trousers, but my legs get really REALLY sweaty (gross :P) when I wear them, is there any sort of under trousers that can counter this?
Sorry for the probably really silly noob questions, but any advice will be welcomed :D

There is nothing worse than that sweaty chaffing feeling under you trousers....lolol...I invested in a one piece 'EDZ' undersuit (basically longjohns) from Hein Gericks (bugger the spelling). It was about £35 squid but was well worth the pennies. Keeps me warm in winter, cool in summer and prevents all that sweaty business in textile and leather. It very thin so if your trousers have detachable liners then there's no fear of overcrowding! But there are several different things you can invest in, just depends on you preference. I think they also do a range of seperates.

Counter steering can keep you in a straight line when the wind wants to push you around. You may actually countersteer and be leaning a little but you will drive straight and true. Also, when passing lorries at motorway speed, you will get blown violently (ooer) as you clear the front of the cab. If you accelerate a little as you pass it will steady you. In really bad conditions laying down on the tank like Little Ronnie Ring Ding on a moped getting every last bit of speed really helps.

I've taken the lining out and was just wearing my boxers under em, I think thats the problem that I havn't got an extra layer between them or something, going to give one of them undersuits a try, thanks for the advice everyone :D

a pair of lycra tracksuit bottoms does the job for them type of textiles, (that should read leggings but it sounds so Rudolph Nureyev :D ).

lovely 70 denier tights work for me, not particularly attractive but who's looking (cry, wail, sob etc!)
available in a range of colours and i hear that they fit blokes too......get your other half to buy them if you are too embarrassed!
and tesco's were selling really cheap thin fleeces a little while ago, for about £6, go nicely under textiles or leathers and warm as toast.
as for the being small thing, we'll i'm small and i still get cold brrrrr

tis true, if it was good enough for the boys in the Falklands in 82 then it must be good enough to withstand a spot of cold and some frantic moments in Windy Britain :D
not too sure if i would want to go all the way to Snowdon just to enact a fetish though?

We got some very strange looks buying tights in our local woolies and insisting thery were for us. Worked a treat though.
Wind?
Try Alka Seltzer. LOL.
Seriously. try gripping the tank extra with your knees.
Works for me.
