CB500s are good bikes, google CB500 cup, I was tempted with one as a road bike for track use.

Visibility on track is important, some people on zx6-rs are intent on wearing you as a nose cone.
:D Love you really Whippet.
Get chatting to some CB500 racers, that's how I got loads of my MZ parts, poaching bits off racers.

Was that the lad that wadded it session two?
Gazdaman

Err, IIRC it was session 3. MZ seized and I don't think Whippet expected me to lock up a wheel half way down the straight.

I think you should really keep your thoughts on what you would have done to yourself, it might be a different story if you was out on the track...........

although i love you dearly jon :cuddle, i do agree with this fellow. i know you can brake very well in short distances. but the other guy might not have the same confidence as you, or his brakes could be weak or any number of things.

I don't blame Whippet at all!! I wouldn't be expecting someone to slam the anchors on so hard a wheel locks half way down a bloody long straight.
Good on him for missing me, if he'd have hit me I probably still wouldn't have blamed him.

You have no idea what speed he was doing, the fact that it was his first track day, and how he interpreted the situation, so don't make assumptions about situations you obviously know s**t all about :angrypun :punch1

WOW WOW WOW
! chill everyone, nothing was meant by it...Gaz had no brake lights obviously,so there was no way he coulda known he was slowing down, just saying from what i saw it looked like he had target fixation....Sorry! And to be honest - Whippet DID save the day.....He was just about to smack into Gaz with his back end, then made the decision to let go of the brakes....and managed to slip past him...if id have given the brakes a big hand full......i wouldnt have eased off, and me and gaz would be one today!lol no harm meant...i didnt evan get to go on the track, cause i suck and have no leathers!
