Any ideas anyone..?
Strippin the petrol tank stickers (slowly with hairdryer) on the xt.
(see pic below).
Anyway, problem is, i don't really wanna re-spray tank as its in good nick. Whats the best way to go about gettin all the sticky crap off once the actual stickers are off. Tryed white spirit but to be honest, did'nt do a thing. Any ideas..???

petrol has worked to get the adhesive residue off Jetski's seat unit last week, then we polished it all back up with Autoglym, super resin polish first, then extra gloss protection and finally showroom finish, dont be frightened of being a bit rough with it as long as you are using a non scratch cloth it will come off without any problems ;)

i second that. I used petrol on my take to get a tank pad off. Elbow grease needed, but works a treat.
You could try Auto Glym Intensive Tar Remover, that stuff shifts most things....:jumping2 :jumping2

What about getting the health and safety stickers of the CBR? It's a plastic tank cover so I don't know what to do incase it damages the tank.

I took the health and safety stickers of the xt the other day with the hair dryer to soften em up.
Came off in one go with no sticky crap underneath..

try carb cleaner if the tank paint is factory finish ie not bean resprayed cellulose thinners but if you are not sure if tank is orignal paint work do not use cellulose thinners as this will strip the respayed paint carb cleaner safer option even cheap ones from pound shop work
