Thats it, Im done! Bike is in one peice, all the pparts i needed arrived at the same time this morning, fitted them in my front garden at 9am (yeah my neighbours love me!) bump started the bike coz i left the ignition on while trying to fix the rear lights, went to the drome to fit my new mirrors and see if the mechy could sort out my rear break light, got it done, took it to the mot station, passed (was so nervous, was the last thing that could go wrong!) picked up my insurance papers from mums, went to work and ross got my tax disk for me. Its been such a great day, my frony breaks need stripping down and cleaning coz they have seized slightly, the bike doesnt roll backwards very easily, but gonna see if i can get that done over the weekend. Ive got the next four days off for my birthday weekend and my b.days on May 1st so my first proper bike is FINALLY on the road, Im about to turn 21 and im doing the biggest rideout ive ever been on, as a biker not a pillion! THIS ROCKS!!! I just need to practice my corners over the weekend coz im a bit unsure and bottled out of a corner on the way to my mums, luckily stopped in time to avoid oncoming traffic and ross was keeping the traffic back behind me but i need to pick up my confidence before monday, "DaRealRossi" helped today by taking me to the mot station and doing every roundabout twice so i feel better bout right handers but it was a left that i bottled so gotta work on left corners!

But i know im ranting, but im so so excited, Monday is gonna be so great, im going with my mum and some mates, and ross of corse, gonna tell em all not too fuss over me, just let me find my feel and let me work it out.

BTW Thanks for the advise on the engine oil Jay, cant believe it was completely empty, luckily mum had some oil from her Beemer that we put in!

Ok, excitable rant over, if anyone does plan to go on Monday, give me a pm or something. Can arrange a place to meet up and go for a coffee, like the pier or something anyone can find (altho i cant walk onto the peir! lol dont ask!)

DONE, sorry for going on for so long, just wanted to get it all out so i can go to sleep! So much to do tomorrow. :love3 :love1 :laugh2 :laugh1:cuddle :clap :rockon :skip :laughboun :grin3 :grin2 :grin1

10w40 wont do it a great deal of harm anyway (assuming thats what the Beemer is running on) :)

Will do a hell of a lot less harm than no oil at all! It was completely dry, and yes it was 10w40!

i got told...

like the pres said 1040 will be fine for a while, the main prob with putting car oil in a bike is you sometimes get clutch slip. i had to use car oil before when i had no bike oil, didnt do any harm.

By the way, I'm doing the Hastings run on Monday, and my mum has a peugeot car now, beemer is still just sitting there. And she's selling the B6!!
