righty, ive been working hard all day in my garage and made some real progress on my zxr. after jon helped me pop the engine in and exhaust the other day i only had a few bits to do, so i set about them.

dig the motogp exhaust, lol.

all i need to do to get it running is put the battery in, maybe get an endcan on there and press a button. or push it up and down the road :)

p.s. its a lil bit dirty becvause its been in my garage in bits since december.

i dont know. theresall sorts of poo on there. bodywork isnt in the best condition thanks to a certain someone. it was mint a year or so ago. even had 2 mirrors.

when ive saved up a few pennies, or got my bonus i think ill take all the bodywork to get repaired and touched up by someone like sudden impact.

Looking good again matey! Make sure you let me come round for the engine firing up! yes its a Pre 91 Its a H2 model so thats 89-90! It was mint when i let it go...Unfortunatly i let it go to a stupid chav who completely killed it...Then sold it to chris!!! Still...its looking good now!

Aw, she certainly was gleaming! Amazing condition for a bike 16+ years old!! Gixer400 certainly has done well to get her back on her wheels (as it were).

Shame that the previous owner didn't take better care (although I suppose it wouldn't take much to wreck an engine of 16 years old ;) and at least she's in good hands now!! :)

he wrecked the bodywork too. and the kcas pipes. and took some of the paint off the wheels, and fooked the rear caliper. te list goes on.

anywho, in response to your question its having a carbon akrapovic slipped on :)

and today i cleaned her (couldnt be bothered with the car) and put the battery in. and f*** me sideways if i didnt poo my pants when i connected the battery and the alarm went off. damn, it was noisy.


and i wont forget you jon. you can press the button. after she runs, ive got to balance the carbs probably, flush engine and change oil and filter, fitting a couple of gakets at the same time. fit a rear brake caliper. MOT, insure and tax my car so i can park it on the road because i cant get my bike out the garden with it there.
id say ill probably have to wait 4 weeks before i can ride her because tax for a 1.6 aint cheap. and insurance for my bike :(

but i CANT WAIT!!! :grin3

Classic vehicle Tax - PMSL!! It might be old but it's not that old!! it'd have to have been registered before 1973 to qualify for that!! :D The law used to state that it was anything older that 25 years would qualify but of course that would mean lots more vehicle owners every year not needing to buy tax so the government soon put a stop to that money saver!!! :D

the flush liquid says to get the engine to operating temp, then fill with the flush, idle for 10 mins then change oil amd filter.. i would have prefered to do it before starting but the world is upside down. the same way that engine cleaner doesnt work unless its hot. i cant get at the dirty bits on an engine when its in the frame.

how is olly now a days he aint that bad when the gixers chain snapped he came all the way to colchester to pick me up at 10pm took me to mine where we napped the pickup truck lol where he pulled the steering wheel out haha! and then picked up the gixer took it back to mine and then took me to work all off his own back bonus was i got to work at 3ish and only had to do 4 hours work didnt get in n e trouble as i turned up also let me drive his golf down the a12 haha! and in his defense he knows feck all bout bikes!

He is a stupid rude boy chav, and only did that so he had to work less time! he has his very small moments of normality, where he is nice! but they dont come out very oftan...You say he doesnt know much about bikes........What the hell does that have to do with dropping it twice, then letting one of your chav friends ride it in shorts and a T-shirt, just bouncing it off the limiter ALL THE WAY DOWN THE ROAD whilst he followed in his rude boi Golf....whilste i stood at the side of the road crying!!!! i got a new can today, tis a blueflame. i prefer my akrapovic but im leaving that off for a bit to do some work on it. and its slimmer than my akro so i cant use the funky carbon strap and have to buy an s/s one. anywho. i took a pic with it fitted. its all ready to fire up now, just waiting for mr j.o.nazapan to come help :)

and i got my new rear caliper fitted so it doesnt stick anymore. it was easier to bleed than the front ones.

thanks. i got the pen from ebay. like everrything else i own. lol. im not sure how good it is yet, it hasnt got wet. ill be fitting super corsas when i get a few extra dollars, so i might have to get another.
