Had a chat with one of the new Essex motorcycle Policemen, yesterday, and he informs me, they are not out to "talk nicely", "educate" or "let off " road users, they have been given tough targets and if they don't hit them they will be out.
They are out to get you, not to make friends!
Be carefull out there!
But on a more positive note he tells me their Pan's are crap above 120mph, they weave all over the place.

It sucks the bigone, but it's fair enough, it's what they're there for. As much as I hate them, atleast it means they'll be cracking down on everyone!

This thread wasn't intended to find out who thinks its a good idea, or who likes the Police, or who used to like them, it was intended as a heads up, we all know they are out there, now we have an idea what their intentions are, don't we.
.....although he did mention "quality arrests"......so thats not cans and plates, all we can do is watch and see.

Seems to me that I don't see half as many coppers in traffic cars as I used to years back. Just been to the Isle of Wight and back and only saw 2 all weekend plus one on foot at the ferry terminal.

Well I have been accused of being overly optimistic in the past, but it would be nice to think that the term 'road users' might apply not just to those on 2 wheels, but maybe to one or two of them on 4 wheels. We'll see.
