Mick and I, well we always think it's right to have faith in the human race and do unto others as you expect to be done to you etc etc...
So with that in mind, after he had that little dink on my bike in March and waited patiently for the lady to call him about replacing the rear light cover on her suzuki alto, that now has a tiny peice missing - which coincidentally we found sitting in my bellypan a week or so ago - what did I recieve today???
A letter from her insurance company.
No phone call, nothing. So for something that would have no doubt cost peanuts (in fact I found a brand new light unit for a suzuki alto the same day going for less than a fiver) will now probably cost me increased insurance premiums for the sake of a fiver!
BeeeeeeeeYATCH!
I just don't get it?? Surely she would've appreciated getting it sorted without going through insurance.... well no doubt she's now looking for a total respray or something ridiculous like that.
Sorry, I don't wine often on here, but it's just so frustrating!!
My faith in the human race lessened slightly today :(

That's so aggravating! I could understand when she's coming from if there was a lot of damage, but like you say, for a fiver, why not save the hastle!!
She'll get hers though!
Get on the phone to her insurance company and tell them that you are prepared to pay cash for the lens and only the lens..... I worked for me once!!!

Mick's written quite a good letter and sent it off today. So we'll see what comes back. Will bear that in mind though Silverdream, might be worth a go.
The excess on my policy is £200 for me and Mick as a named rider, so it's not going to be less than that is it. W*nk*rs :(
What is really frustrating, is she is claiming on my policy for her car, but I can't claim for my cracked side fairing, as the tosser drove off (with good reason I suppose :D :D :D ).
Still, my track fairing arrived today, so that's cheered me up :D

what a joke!!! sorry to hear this, some people really are so dumb arent they as if u were willing to sort it out in cash it would cut out the long slow painfull process of insurance claims anyway

its pi$$ed me off no end to be honest, the silly mare knew full well that i got pushed into her and without any messing about i initially offered to pay half of what it cost, and with that in mind i gave her my work number and my mobile number,
did she call? not a peep, all's she had to do was ring me up and let me know how much it was and i could have squared it away in cash.
so having written back to her insurance company i have asked for a quote from her seeing as i reserve the right to pay for it out of my pocket before involving the insurance, although the way the insurance people talk its as if you dont have any choice! WRONG ANSWER :D
what has annoyed me the most is the fact that its taken 6 weeks nearly and not one phone call to let me know about this, in that time she could have trashed her car and i am then having to argue about how much damage there was.
if it goes through the insurance then i will make sure that Jet's insurance team use the legal system to dispute and analyse the claim now just to make sure she is playing fair ;)

yeah damn right mick, what a load of old crap. b*stards. you have to stick up for yourself because everyone in the insurance industry tries to get away with whatever they can and assume people don't know their rights/can't be arsed/will just bottle out of it.
it makes me SO CROSS arghhhhh.

i actually hate insurance companies. they will try anything to squeeze every last penny out of you. stick to your guns and keep offering to sort it without insurance. they should eventually get bored of it and let you.
