No help with the clio, but family used to have a Pug 206 with a glass roof/sunroof, and it creaked all the time... they replaced the glass and it settled down though.

that has got to be the worlds largest signature block, i bet the dial up users love it when you post on here NOT! :D :D
strange that the roof creaks though, that means either there is flexion in the sunroof mounting, its normally transmitted up the A pillars and across the roof.
could try smearing a bit of grease around the sunroof seal to see if it softens the creaking i suppose? (swarfega if you dont fancy using grease) :)

I will try to make my sig pics smaller lol , however i am thw 2nd owner and unbeknown to me the 1st owner took it back to be fixed under warranty , i realised this when i took it back and they checked on national renault computer , they have had the car back 2 times and changed with the modification parts etc , its better now but still not correct , i think its a build fault bad design with this model as the new 05 55 plate onwards have a different style roof , my roof dont creek if the glass panel is open , ive tried some draught excluder to try to minimise pressure from glass panel to roof frame / casette but no difference so took it off again , next time no roof for me as its got good air con though :laugh1

It is strange that it has both, chances are the sunroof was put in by another company, not renault or a renault sunroof that could the probs. I've got a 2004 clio with a sunroof,(no ac).I've had no probs with that, well not yet anyway, not had it long. I used to work for a IZUZU and kia dealer, and sometimes we used to use another company to fit sunroofs, but they were never as good as one supplied and fitted at the factory. Some of them, used to creek after a while or leak. Not sure how to stop it though. You could try spraying loads of silicone everywhere. All round the rubber and all round the plastic rim on the roof, that will shut it up for a bit(the stuff for polishing dashboards), Just use some car wax to get if off the roof and glass. If it's just a pop up one like mine put some wd40 on all the moving bits of the handle. It may work:grin2
Just a thought:grin2 :grin2

I don't think it's strange, well I do think it's pointless, but the last 3 cars my family has had have had both a sunroof and A/c.
The last two have had glass roofs and a/c

Ok it's not a strange thing as such but it's not a common thing, especially on a small car. At the time none of the cars we sold came with both, If people wanted both the sunroof was fitted somewhere else. :grin2 :grin2 :grin2

my avensis has both and the avensis comes with en electric sunroof as standard ;)
just because a car has AC doesnt mean to say you are never going to want to open the roof :D

I know!, but at the time kia's had one or the other,Kia's come with bugger all as standard, I think the wheels were even an extra:grin2 , But this was 10 years ago. If people wanted both, and they do, we had to get the roof fitted somewhere else and the roofs were never as good as the factory ones:grin2 :grin2

Its a dynamique model 2002 and the roof is standard fit from factory on that model , its not an aftermarket job for certain

Just like to add that i used to work for a company that did electric and manual after market roofs ( pop up ) i was the main fitter in my prime and even went out mobile for franchise contract work , any one remember the volvo 440 480 ? they had to have a special slim fit and i cut the hole too big lol :shooter :grin1 However i will not tamper with mine as the headlining gotta come out to get to the main cassette and i think its a chassis problem too much twist not enough rigidity crap french thing :shooter
