As i am off work for a week i volunteered to go and get paid for a bit of weapons security with a London firm that contracts out to the film industry for today and tomorrow, bit of an early start but hey for £80 a day keeping an eye on a few weapons (as well as playing with them) i am not going to argue :D

Today was on the Catherine Tate set, supplying micro UZI's (live firing ones) and weapon safety for a "driveby" shooting.

The fella i was helping got to do the actual shooting as only one of us were needed but we spent the day rubbing shoulders with all the cast anyway :)

Tomorrow off up to Hertforshire to shoot a video for some (i have never heard of him) Italian singer called Paulo Nutini,

I will be in that video and will be advising the other 4 in the team as we will all be dressed up as SO19 and storming a building with MP5's etc, really long day as we have to be in London for 8, and then up to Hertford by 10 ready to start filming, but we dont finish until 11 tomorrow night  :D

But hey, no jokes about Ultimate Farce now eh ;)

Well, according to the team on the filmset that i was on yesterday (and i was complemented on how authentic i looked as a Soldier/copper, right up until the point i told them i was a soldier really :D ) i looked pretty good on camera, that doesnt read photogenic i might add ;) :D

Got in at 4 this morning, having got up at 5 the morning before to go there :D

Absolutely knackered, it would seem that Paolo Nutini is a good old scottish name! :D (actually he is from Glasgow but his father is Italian), he is 19 and Atlantic Records in league with Warner Music have quite high hopes of him,

So i spent pretty much all day and night dressed as an SO19 trooper, lots of smoke, lasers and torches where we assault the house, lots of shouting (from me) and then i shoot him quite dramatically with an MP5 (nice double tap) and then got to console the poor young lady that had been held hostage :D

Turns out that we went over by 2 hours and they had to give us £20 an hour overtime, added to the filming yesterday that was a total of £280 for 2 days work if you can call it that :D :D

had a fabulous time though and got pampered like stars ;)
