Dont suppose you can remember where you were on about getting your bike covered with Ventureshield do you?
The bloke that i spoke to that "used" to work at Dynospeed, doesnt seem to be working there anymore (i can only assume a fall out has taken place :D ) and i want to look into it :)

Why use VentureShield?
VentureShield is absolutely ideal for protecting your expensive bike's finish. It covers all of the sensitive areas that are susceptible to stone chips, bug damage and general Road Rash. Available as a pre-cut template specifically for your make and model or as a universal kit which is a bit cheaper but needs shaping
you can actually get rolls of the stuff to make your own, i was quoted £100 all fitted which would have covered some other stuff i wanted that a pre cut pack wouldnt have done, but the geezer i spoke to (who was seriously thinking about setting up a franchise) seems to have done a runner :D

hi sorry if missed stuff earlier...Venture stuff.....good to a point easy enough ish to fit oneself....have done it for a magazine article but the product does have faults long term and as such article is in litigation as it goes against claims of manufacturer...
all in all though I would use it again....I may be able to negotiate a price on it for you but no promises...

when you say long term how long are we talking about?
if it keeps stone chips off and tank scuffs that will do for me for around 4 years even better :)

hi, we tested it on a Blade it lasted well for first year then edge's started to lift in places slightly and become discoloured /white on top of that it appeared to have a couple of blemish's within the surface ie bubble/ripple which became a blemish over time, these were evident due to the background colour of bike (red) on black areas only the marks which turned white were visible..
causes suggested have been from fitting ---ie to much application liquid and as such the adhesive was less effective on edges
stone holes causing the bubbles, though under testing the material is very hard to breakthrough with a key,,,but a sharp stone could cause a tiny hole which then at speed water ingress is possible
overall it does do a good job and marks are easily polished out and intially the finish is great...
be carefull on fitting if pre cut, some panels do not fit well, we had a problem with the main tank protector and had to trim to fit and some parts need stretching,,, this is where we believed some of the problems came from on the edges, working the material too much to get it to fit.
I would have a self cut sheet, keep it simple use the flat area's and use a tank pad as template to make one out of the venture shield.
hope it helps.
