my bodywork has a problem. its split :(

no doubt doodlebug or jay will crop up and tell me the problem is its damned ugly :laugh1 but still...

i havent got a close up picture, but theres a line on the left side going across where the screen is missing. thats utterly split off there, and held on with tape! also, you can see a vertical crack under the screen in the centre.

any good ideas what to do with these? im thinking attempt a plastic weld with a soldering iron, but i've never done that before or know how.. :jumping2

cheers guys! i also have a fairing frame to bend with a blow torch, that'll be fun lol

But seriously, if you are going to try plastic welding, try on a piece you dont mind messing up first. Aparently if you melt a channel along the back of the crack with a soldering iron, and then go back along it melting a zip tie into it, it should make a good weld, other than that, good glue.

good glue does sound quite appealing though lol

i fixed a completely mangled mudguard witha soldering iron and a KFC straw. :)
