Why cant I see this room? If there something I need to do?

Go to your User cp. Find group memberships. Request membership of Rideouts & gatherings. A message is then sent to Dan, the main mod/owner of the site, he will then approve you being able to see the threads. It may take a few weeks though, just be patient. We don't want all and sundry knowing what we are up to. ;)

ps all the info is in the FAQ section.
