Problem 2

Once The Pully hosing was de-plasterd we began fitting the powervalves to the bike only to find out that we were a seal short, but we set it all up with out the seal and i continued and took it for a test ride!, well it definatly had more power and i could go through every gear 1-6 where as before i could only go up to 4th gear before the bike would lose power but there is a problem frst of oil and petrol are leaking from the cap! and the bike was loosing power and jumping once up to a certain rev range between 7-9 thousand revs i think this may be due to the lack of no seal! becuase i got it home took the cp off started it up and reved the bike up to see wether the powervalve kit was actuall working which it was but oil and petrol and some smoke were coming through as well! therefore we need a new sea plus we had put some bits from another powervalve in with the current one as they seemed to be missing ! but we think they might be too small so now we are going to put the other powervalve in it but the problem is that it is black as anything and needs some serious cleaning so we have now cleaned the power valve and this is what it looks like now we are after the seal and then we can go from there!

yeah theres a few shops and a carpark with a motorcycle park but has anyone been up there? i use it quite often but that curved sloped entrance is bloody scarey! and i duck under the hieght restrictor (despite the fact that u could fit a 4x4 under it!! just a natural reaction i guess!!!!!! xxxx

Glad to hear the power valve is workin spider .. 8)

The seals are surposed to be part of the bearing that the ypvs sits on but as u dont have them and i have no idea where u get them from just make sure u can seal the pully cover and the inspection cover on da other side as best as possible if ur stuck for a gasket use friggin a cerial box !! (ive made base gaskets out of cerial boxes ) and some instant gasket solution works everytime :D

i ahve used the old cereal packet made gaskets before

but the best ones are made out of gasket card/paper - you know that they will last with a thin film of instant gasket on them - top stuff mate!

hehe yeah and the ppl who use instant gasket sealant on an old head gasket !! madness!! lol

I cant see any reason why ud lose that much power because of a small air leak i think u might have the power valve alittle to tight and that is why it isnt smooth when u hit 6.5 rpm does it judder alittle when u get near these revs?? if so its a sure sign the valve is to tight in its housing..
