It has to be said, I think ive outgrown the 400. Not that i dont have fun on my little VFR400R, but i feel like im really riding it to the limit all the time - cant be good for the purring V4...

Time to move to a 600?

Yeah.

But are you really hammering you 400 to its limit?

on the straights and on an open road maybe, but i know how fast these buggers can go round a track.

Unless your fairing and toe selector is touching the floor your not on the limit!

Get a 600 anyway!

I will mate... just waiting for the right one to come up.

If i was sinsible, i'd sell my VFR now... loads like mine (and not in as mint condition) going on biketrader for 2700-3000 - mines only done 15,000 miles!

Only cos its the time of year tho... but i cant be without a bike from the time i sell the VFR to the time i get a 600... no bike.... uurrggh, makes me shudder just to think about it.

Just you remember that you cant ride your 250 yet! and even when you can it will be restricted to 33bhp. My TZR125 is nearly running that!

Spider
22-08-2003, 03:37 PM
well lardfy dah and it wont be restricted lol id rather risk it than run at a 125 level!!!

Tark

tim whats it matter if your jelous over his 600 as arnt you already jelous of dans VFR

FingerZ!
24-08-2003, 11:28 AM
well yeah i spose i am jealous of his VFR but then in a straight line i can keep up if not gain on him - his bike is lighter and handles a lot better than mine, but then again if i was confident enough, my bike is capable of keeping up with what he does no worries im just not a great rider lol!

I mean, we both ride fast, but no where near the limit of our bikes - maybe revs wise yes but not round corners! We havent got our knees down yet lol!

Nah i am mate im jealous of most things anyways - like when we were talkin bout money the other night and you couldnt believe how much i earn!!

well its true mate n thats how come i cant keep up with you on the decent belongings thing lol!

not to mention thats usually why i have the hump half the time cos i got no money yet i work like a dog all the time lol!

i can honestly say im physically and mentally exhausted the last 3 days - thursday night kicked my arse aswell as work!

Hate to say this but im contemplating selling the bike n maybe the car n gettin a newer car but still fast - that way i got money each month n stuff - horrible but might have to happen

Well on the subject of money i think that I am probably the worst off.

I get paid £100 a week.

I run my car my TZR plus pay for all my racing myself. My car insurance at the min costs £1200 (never mind what it will be next year after my crash!) Now I owe my mam £1000 for her car. It cost me £300 to get a crane to move the car. I pay £20 a week board and it costs £200 everytime I race. So thats me Skint every month!

Dan

What do you do work wise then?

FingerZ!
25-08-2003, 11:49 AM
well no disrespect but that dont work out does it

if you really only got £100 a week, in reality you wouldnt be able to afford the car insurance let alone your bike and your car and your racing - so you must get extra money from somewhere i.e: if you win a race cos you surely you dont live in £100000000000 of negative numbers! just wouldnt work would it! Cos after a few months, thats what your account would look like innit!!!

I do Private jobs now n then when i get spare time - only get a few quid here n there now n then but it pays for my food n petrol for a week. This means i dont have to take that money out the bank - so then i can either go out for a drink or save the money towards something! :)

but it takes such a ****ing long time since i started paying for my motorbike! GRRRR

Tark
25-08-2003, 11:54 AM
Well i am in negative numbers!

FingerZ!
25-08-2003, 11:58 AM
but there must be a light at the end of the tunnel surely? as in after seekin sponsorship you will be winnin races n be minted?!?!?!

i dont go negative unless i know there is away out or its unplanned :?

Tark

well things are t*ts up this month cos of crashing the car.

I can usually just about afford to do the things i want but i cant go out drinking or watse money on things like that.

I am gonna have to Sell my TZR to pay for a new car for my mum and then everything should be ok.

If/When i get some sponsorship Racing should be easier for me.

I only race 1/2 a month cos thats all i can afford.
