The problem with it is if you advertise an ebay advert on here (and get free publicity) knowing that you have a mate keeping track of the bidding for you, then someone on here gets involved in a bidding war trying to win.
I imagine peeps on here are going to feel a little down in the mouth to say the least when they realise that you have someone bumping the bid up "just in case" when in reality you could have simply stated how much you were after in the first place from anyone on here, at least then if the price is too steep they arent going to get their hopes up when your mate is trying to squeeze them for cash.
Dont get me wrong i have done it myself, and i even advertised my old ZX9R on here (RIP :D ) but i did say at the time how much i wanted for a sale, and had someone covering the bidding too, if it was someone from here that also got involved in the bidding then i would have stepped in ;)
see where i am coming from? its not a whinge, its just to highlight that strictly speaking its illegal, but when you advertise the link on here for people on here to possibly bid on then it comes to light "a mate is watching over it" it becomes immoral ;) :D
So how much were you after for the can anyway?, it would have been easier to set a reserve and then discreetly put in the Ebay advert what the reserve is so people know what they are getting into, that way you dont get chancers on it :)

Fair enough, I didn't really think that one through lol. Just want it gone quicjk and didnt think :) you'd be surprised how much space an engine in bits needs!
Know what you meanthough
I suppose I was after about 60 minimum, seems fair as it's mint, not sure I want to sell it now though.
But as for my other Items on ebay, the engines is in bits and you simply demand parts and I'll set a price,So no more safetys bids there :)
too many bits to list separately.

I reckon if you had put a £50 reserve on it, and stated that you expected £60 at least someone would have snapped your hand off for that ;)

I think it's a fcking joke!
Why not stick a reserve on it?
