HELLO,
I have just found this forum and think it is a great idea there are hardly any resources for tzr on the web, Now i have found one maybe someone can help me?
I have just finished building a 1989 TZR125 which was in a box when i got it! the only thing is that I am missing a few parts, the most important thing I am missing is a spark! These are the checks that i have done:
1. Stator plate windings resistance checks
2. Kill switch checks
3. Ignition control unit checks
4. Wiring continuity checks
5. Coil resistance checks
6. Ignition switch checks
What would really help is if someone could give me the resistances etc. found betwwen the wires of CDI unit so that i can check mine against them. I don't want to have to buy a new one if i can help it cos they are like rocking horse "£$% secondhand and i have been quoted £132 for a new one!!
Hopefully someone can help me out here, or supply a cheap CDi at least.
I have found full instructions on how to fit a C90 CDi to this bike but can't find one of them either? so even that would help?!
I will keep checking back to see if anyone can help and in the meantime if anyone needs ANY tzr125 etc. help from me or wants to contact me then email or MSN messenger chrismeller@email.com
