im the passenger on outfit no.42. the regular passenger was injured in france, so i stood in for him. Now that IS a scarey experience... accelerating at mach3 down the straights... sidecars dont turn corners, they slide thru them....!

tark, that was last saturday. win?? nah! my first time in a superside race so the driver took it easy!! i was standing in for his injured passenger. They are 2nd in the championship, so our objective was to finish safely, and maybe score enough points to maintain theyre 2nd place. which we did. although we were running near the back. tell ya tark, those things are soooo damn scarey! and very tiring! especially running 2 tzr races and 2 sidecar!

i did go out in solo races as well, but the tzr was playing up - p/valve seal blew out and the link between the 2 valves disappeared.

theres a pic of the tzr airborne (well, front end at least) coming over the mountain on the other thread here somewhere that i just posted.

That looks fun aswell... do you have to do a lot of body throwing to help the rider?

dan - yep, that is VERY hard work! i didn't realise quite how hard it would be! in the morning practice, which was my first experience of it, as u go into the mountain the track goes left-right, i moved right just too early and the passenger chair lifted about 3 foot off the ground!!!

shame i didnt get any good pics of me hanging right off the left side though. arms, legs, ribs all sore from doing that, but yes, i would recommend that to anyone!

you have to move around, left u hang right off the platform, righ you hang over the outfit... sidecars dont drive around the corners, they SLIDE around them!! no passenger means it dont get round the corner!

Does look great fun.... you must have been fairly trusted in that case by the rider lol
You can see the guy at the back on the blue one... he's fairly fidgity, but i bet not half as you all were going round the corners... quite hair raising i should imagine!
