pretty much as the 2003. At the time, a much more thrilling bike to ride. brakes felt about the same. It looked good (this was year 2002!). Cornering was very good. I'm 5'11 and for a few laps, i just felt like my knees were under my chin. Actually got cramp at one stage!! But a few laps done and i started to feel quite settled with the bike. Coming out of the corners in 2nd gear (mansfield) you could crack the throttle open and the rear would spin up, sliding the back end slightly, yet always fely well in control. Sure, i could have took the corner in 3rd instead, but damn its fun to get it spinning up like that!! This bik IS fun!!! 9/10!!

Having ridden the 2002 and the 2003, in my mind the carburettor 2002 was a better bike, though the 03 looks better. Though ran on different circuits. A back 2 back test would be nice for a better comparison.

club circuit... wasnt being timed... probably just as well!

i came belting out of charlies 2 then down park straight, passed a guy closely (maybe just a bit too close really) and carried on on my way... afterwards he asked how fast i was going, i said i dont know, i wasn't looking at the speedo, why? and he reckoned he was doing 138 and increasing when i flew by him! (think i was lapping him every 3-4 laps) but no idea what times were like. It was quite cool though cos most of the time there was only 4 of us on the track, maximum on track at once was 8, which left a lot of room.
