Just opened up my clutch which has been slipping over 12k.
All the steels are glued up the firction plates are shagged the oil stinks and I guess springs could use replacing. I have been quoted astonomical prices for standard parts plus oil change etc and I have heard nothing but bad things about EBC replacements, aparently they slip alot!
Anyone got any suggestions? Im not confident enough to chage it all myself! Any help advice would be apreciated

The EBC ones are normally pretty good as it goes, the secret with wet clutches is to leave the plates and fibres to soak in oil overnight :)

And most clutch slip comes from not replacing the springs and/or using the wrong oil too ;)

This is the price you pay for burnouts and wheelies you see :D

Drop the oil, stick some oil in a new filter, pull the clutch plates etc out, replace, stick the new oil in, off you go :D

i fitted a EBC heavy duty clutch with stiffer springs to my J1 with no problems

currently got a EBC kelvar kit in my B1 (with stiffer springs) and no problems
(I did have slight slipping at Snett, but went away after an oil change, didn't bother changing the oil at the same time as the clutch)

changing the oil and clutch plates is simple.. 20 minute job

heres a how to
