Leon takes first win of the season

In an incredible second race at a wet croft today Leon Haslam took a brilliant 1st to notch up his first BSB win of the year.

Form the start Rutter took an early lead but was reeled in by Harris who was on a charge, he pulled out an 8.8 second lead on the HM Plant Honda to leave Haslam, Rutter and Lavilla to fight it out.

Halam took 2nd place and got his head down to chase down "bomber" Harris with 2 laps to go Harris had a comfterbal lead of 2.5 seconds, but incredibly Leon took this down to nothing and on the last lap last corner snatched the lead by diving up the in side at the hairpin.

wow is all i can say, it was just astonishing, i was screaming at the telly!!!

anybody who goes out in conditions like that has my absolute undeserved deepest respect, let alone who races and races like that.

well deserved and i can't wait for the last meeting at Brands, i'm so going to that one!
