I moved my bike tonight (pushed it) and heard a strange tinkering noise coming from the tank. If I lean it left to right it sounds like something metallic rolling in it. The only thing IV been able to think that it could be is when I bought the bike it came with used alpha-dot kit (or one of the alias's) and inside was a tool for placing a mark inside the roof of the tank!
What are my options for getting this lil bugger out, apart from taking the tank off?
And yes, IV got a Vax :grin2

you could try using one of them long springy things (dont think thats the patent name for it though :D :D ) with little prongs that pop out when you push the end in, great fun for hanging off peoples ears when they arent expecting, but not sure if it will get it out??? :D
i dropped a pound coin into the tank of my old RSV (still got it in there so the new owner got a good deal there! :D )

DO NOT use the VAX to empty the tank!
I am sure you were joking, but I thought I must say it to be sure.
Run the fuel down low, pull the pipe off the carb and drain the remainder into a fuel container. Then take the tank off.

Cheers for the idea's, I wont be using the vax, well not unless i need to get to the moon at light speed :laugh1
I thought of using a magnet on a bit of string but weren't to sure if it could cause a spark when it makes contact, plus it will stick to the inside of the tank and I'll probably end up with a magnet stuck in there as well :laugh1
Mick, i know the dewbury wositsname your talking about, its got a clasp on the end like a teddy machine at the fair, but these have some magical chip in them that allows it to actually picks things up :laugh1
Iv got one somewhere so I'll give it a go, thanks :grin2
