Nope they arnt rare well in this country yeah but in japan they are still in production ... why a 250 cbr? well the japanese are only lil ppl not very strong etc so they preffer small cc bikes hence the cbr 250rr :)
they also do a Fzr250 and a ZZR250 loool ! ive heard rumours they also do gsxr250 but never seen one and yeah they are all 4stroke
So no not rare but funny as hell 250cc! couldnt pull ya out of bed ..

open up the topic you want. reply to the topic and click the Ing tag from the selection above. Then paste the address link and click th Img tag again. Make sure there isn't a space at the end of the link.

Had a spin on a CBR 250 and on a FZR (Exact same as last pic) and they are no slow coaches. Only slightly smaller than my 400 as well. The FZR was in a bike shop here and sitting beside a '94 NC30 and there's sh@g all difference in size. They don't have to be restricted for L drivers either (over here anyway). Only thing about them is they are crazy money here - '94 FZR 250 - €3,650 or £2,500-ish. 8)

That FZR looks the nuts!

Spider

Dan
13-11-2003, 12:30 PM
That RR at the top looks so much like an NC30 - given me a few ideas for a respray now :)

Dan

excellent! Upload them to your personal gallery and i'll have a look. You can find your personal gallery by clicking on album at the top of the screen, then clicking on Your Personal Gallery just under the list of areas in the album - any probs, let me know.

I just noticed my gpr50 is a complete copy front and tank wise as the ZXR ... but the back of my bikes of a mito,916 (all the same company i think)

Biker Dude
13-11-2003, 04:16 PM
dan...if u get a respray...i know of a good home for ur red/black faring ;)

cshan99
13-11-2003, 04:24 PM
8) personally i think if you have a bike, especially one as nice as an NC30, respraying it any other colour than the original takes away from the value of it.

13-11-2003, 04:26 PM

Biker Dude
13-11-2003, 04:26 PM

Dan
13-11-2003, 08:39 PM
which i havnt got - so cshan's point is a very good one. My bike is MINT... itd just be nice to change the look of it a bit.

What I really wanna do is get a nice race can, but the exhaust is one complete system - you cannot unbolt the can... so i dont know what to do.

Biker Dude
13-11-2003, 09:09 PM
Yeah i noticed that exhaust porblem too... there is a joint right under the engine but that only for the front 2 down pipes i think... gees sum things on VFR's suck...but not much ;)

ZXR250 is a lovely bike and is not too small either. only thing i'd be afraid of is parts. Seen a few of them over here but never seen any parts for them. Any bits i need for my bike even i have to get from UK, which is not too often thank god!!! Need a screen if anyone knows of one!!

Tark

Oh!

Well thats different then!

Jims
22-01-2004, 12:59 PM
Well, does anyone know if the 400 bits will fit the baby models...?

Apparently, the guy we are looking at getting it off said that he expected the same thing with the parts, but when he bought it a couple of years ago, he went into a supplier for standard bits like oil filter and brake pads and he had them sitting on the shelf! So we got a supplier! :D

Jims
22-01-2004, 01:01 PM
Oh, and forgot to add...

Although that is a nice ZX2R up there, the one i'm looking at has the super fit fox-eye headlight, as opposed to the not-so-nice frog eye! :D

cshan99
22-01-2004, 01:10 PM
like this one........http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/037183
The likes of oil filters and plugs are easily got but brake levers, fairings etc are a bit harder and more expensive

Jims
22-01-2004, 01:28 PM
Yup, that's it!!!

They're gorgeous!!!

Just got to find a nice paint job for the bike, cos it's got unmatching lowers and not too keen on the colour now!

Any suggestions...?

Been on the Dreammachine website (where i nicked the design for my TZRR from), some niiiiice bikes on there!!! :D

cshan99
22-01-2004, 01:41 PM
found a website while surfing this morning and this lad had one with a few different paint jobs on them, will try find link and send it on. It was cool - he was able to take a bike an put different schemes on it, he had a NC30 in yellow with a duke 916 nose on it, looked awesome

cshan99

right let me fill a few of you in!

the second bike down in that list of pics is exact same as mine!

the reason japs make them if because due to licence laws they are limited to 250cc then 400cc , we are bout the only country that do it differently!

If you go to aus then the only bikes you will see with be 250cc (ok 99% will be, not all)!

250cc are fine for me, peak handleing and enough power for a 17 year old like me! you can tune them up just a little and you can start geting 0-62 mph in less than 5 sec easily! low 4's are achivable!!!

Spider
27-01-2004, 11:53 AM
i agree m8 totally! ive gots me a 250! with a fab paint job already all i need to get hold of is a dam end can! maybe try fititng an FZR400 end can to it! then maybe get polished rims!

Tark

Jims

Just bought a ZX2R!!! :-)

Needs a bit of work and new paint job, but otherwise it's cool! only £975, but needs a few bits doing and some TLC! Although still got my TZR to run round on until the ZX is ready! No doubt I will be asking questions on here as problems arise!!!   Want a proper end can for it actually, so if anyone see's one, please let me know-cheers!

Tark
01-02-2004, 11:45 AM
You going to sell your TZRR soon then? The new member Delta Force will be interested i think.

Jims
01-02-2004, 12:09 PM
Erm... well I will need it until the ZX is ready, which will probably coincide with at least spring if not summer to get the most for it, so...? How much he looking at spending?

Tark
01-02-2004, 10:02 PM
I dont know. I just know he is thinking of selling his old shape bike and getting a new one like yours.

He seemed worried that if he sold his he wouldn't ba able to find another newer one. Thats where I thought you could come in handy.

Jims
03-02-2004, 10:19 PM
I PM'ed him and he got back to me, but he was saying he needs to sell his bike first, but that kinda fits in well with me as the ZX needs a bit of sorting!

ZX rides lovely, sounds awesome and red lines at 19000rpm!!! :D Got new end can for it, using the ZX400R Maverick one, not fitted yet, but offered it up and looks like it will go stright on fingers crossed! just need a few more bits for it and some TLC and il be on the road! :D

Hey guys!

Need some help!

Got my ZX2R in pieces, well, all running well, but just out of interest.... does anyone know how to tune these things (u know, obviously for the future when my 33bhp restriction is lifted) and whether they put some kind of rev limiter on them? Cos it seems like they have, although someone did say that they sometime do on the lower gears because you can over rev the lower gears, so they limit them at about 16000-17000rpm...?

Anyone got any ideas...?!

Cheers!
