Meet my little beastie.
She's a 1991 M model and bog standard. Although, I did remove the PINK decals from the rear side panels. No way I'm riding a PINK bike
Known to many as the hooligan of the V-twin 2-stroke world. She doesn't dissapoint 8)
Even after 12 years, she still throws out 57bhp from the back wheel. The down side is that she has to have a £220 top-end rebuild every 10,000 miles and lots of TLC inbetween.
132mph top speed. 0-60 in 3.8 sec. Razor sharp handling. Can, has and will embarrass many a bigger bike.
My RGV will never be for sale but, if you find a good one and have the money............get one!!!!!
You'll not be dissapointed :P

Hello whirlybob
that is a nice piece of machinery you got there!
I have heard about RGV250's being the ******** but i didnt realise that they were 3.8 secs 0-60 and 57bhp's worth of wickedness!!!
Mind you - £220 is a lot but not for the kinda fun you are gettin out of it!
i think my gixer 400 is only 59bhp and probably not running at that at the moment! 4secs 0-60 - woul dbe great fun to give you a run - interesting to see how far ahead you get from me!!!!
Nice one mate!

Cheers Tim :)
I'm not sure I would get ahead of you on straight. Your gixxer delivers power a little bit differently from my hooligan. It'd be fun to see though.
I know she's a bike length behind a GSXR600 SRAD to 100mph from a standing start. The gixxer just continues to pull away after that
It's in the twisties where she shines. So feckin nimble and chuckable. 57bhp pushing 130Kg plus rider is a nice power to weight ratio :P
It's basicaly the same engine as the RS250 so 63bhp is easily available with a few mods. 71bhp is quite common if you have the funds. The big lads are putting RG500 lumps in the RGV frame and having one hell of a laff.
Only money and time will tell.......I'll keep you posted 8)
Dave
I cant see the Pics!

I have never had much luck with 2 strokes lol so i went 4 stroke as soon as i could!!
Yeah i would love one of them, but i got me gixer now!
that bike is fast - i dont think i woul dbe a bike length behind a gixer 600 at a ton from a standing start - when i was racing my cousins FZR600 up the strip, she was killing me by the time we hit about 85-90mph but then my starts were ****e - in the end she was only beating my times by 0.4 seconds!!!! But that was when i was racing some other bike - didnt see what it was cos i was concentrating lol! he didnt get far ahead!!!!
SHE? Haha you got beat by a girllie!
Only Joking.
I can see the pic now!
Are you going out with another Member of this Site WhirlyBob. I think i might have that pic on my computer cos your Bird send it to me? Or are I talking Poo??

Yeah Mark....KrazyKitty (wor lass) sent it to you a couple of weeks ago.
She's itching for a go on the hooligan but, she'll have to make do with her little teaser for a while.......hehehehe, I'll be in trouble for that one 8)
Yeah thats right KrazyKitty, I remember now. How come she hasn't been on for a while?
