Remember the days when people actually respected the Police?

I shamelessly stole this link to a story on the BBC from MCNNinjas, about a Police Officer being run over by some thug on a motorbike.

What makes it worse, is the incident is totally unprovoked, had nothing at all to do with him, and even worse its a Police Woman he runs over.

Read the story, and put aside all your negative feelings towards Police officers for a second, put aside the fact that most of the time as bikers we only disagree with the Police because we "believe" they are out to stop us enjoying what most of us should be doing on a track anyway ;)

And then take on board that this poor Police Woman had more bottle than the thug to start with as she is grappling with what appears to be a pretty big fella already (how many women do you know that would take on a bloke even if it was due to the fact she wears a uniform?).

No-one deserves this!

Watch the CCTV footage, and draw your own conclusion, look at the face of the bloke and tell me he hasnt got "i am scum" written all over him.

Totally ruined my morning for some bizarre reason after seeing the footage, and i think the sentence should have been life, short and sweet, you assault Police officers (knowingly that is (there is a story behind that :D )) and you assault the last hope of law and order we have left in this country!!!!! :angrypun :angrypun :angrypun

I Agree, there is no respect for the police these days , i phoned them about a load of gypsies parked in a layby on the A12, about 8 caravans were parked on the A12, blocking the slow lane, and the police said to me " what can we do about it "

That makes me mad :shooter

But there is no reason to mow down a police officer, lock em up and throw the key away!!!!!

makes you sick.

i couldnt see the cctv, but i saw this at work.

i dont dislike the police, they do an important job and everytime ive been pulled over i have been breaking the law and they have been very good and not punished me as much as they could.

i think people who assault anyone, police or not should get more that 4 years

I havent watched this, but i dont think i want to having just sent off my application form to join the police force! I can understand people havin a dislike for the police, but unprovoked attacks are uncalled for. But hell, once the TA call me back, and if all works out once the legs back to normal, i could end up being a full time copper, part time soldier! Hands up who thought i was normall! Hahaha
