I might of missed something, but would it not be easier to just buy a new bike?

If you want a loan, I've got a headstock stand (not completely necessary) but you'd need to check the headstock size. As for a torque wrench, if you can afford it, Machine Mart do a budget one for less than £20. Obviously not as accurate as a Snap On digital, but it's been a life saver and good investment for me.

I'm over in Colchester BTW

i've got an rear paddock stand you can have... !!!
it was a cheapy i got from the alley pally a couple of years ago....
(just use some cloth on the cups or it'll scratch your swingarm)

you don't/ won't need a front padock stand really

you'll be wanting a tolley jack though to lower the engine out and ideally three people to perform the operation of actually lowering the engine and putting it somewhere stable (two blocks of wood work well)

1 person to hold the engine upright as it is lowered
1 person to operate the tolley jack
1 person to lift the front of the bike if required (unlikely)

then just slide the jack out with the engine balanced on top

3 people to lift the engine from the tolley jack to two wooden blocks to keep in steady

installation is the reverse of removal... ;)

i've also got a torque wrench you can borrow (only does larger setting).. so no good for inside the engine
(although to be honest if your just doing engine mounts the torque isn't that important (unless your got r&g's, normally bloody tight will do ;) )

your not putting a 750 lump in a 600 frame are you...? ;) /edit.. scrape that read the other thread now

should only take a day to swap the engine... and then on the second day check everything and do the odds and sods

when your taking the bike apart take lots of pictures.... it'll make it alot easier to put back together

J you need the Gaz mobile mechanic service.

I've got a rear paddock stand, torque wrench and a trolley jack. Now my wrist has kinda healed I'm slightly less useless for lifting things aswell.

We'll see you right, don't you worry. Oh, and it looks like I'll be back on the 17th of Sept. So the following week?
