Afternoon all, just made a deal with a guy in london selling some 99 R6 fairings.
£150 for full fairings, tank, mirrors, and front lights.
Ok i wont need mirrors or lights for the track but atm as most of you know my bikes not in great condition, and idealy the lights could do with replacing (still work but they are all broken on the inside (loads of plastic sitting inside trapped just moving around and are bound to break the bulb soon if i ride with it like that)
So have managed to get track fairings and new light with this one deal.
A few scratches and the fairing is broken by the left headlight, but thats easily fixable with a plastic kit from halfords
Going to pick it up monday morning from orpington

Yer me 2. will be an easy one to spot and cameras will have no problem focusing in on it.
Originally i was going to paint them black, then put the coventrybikers logo and website addy on them to help promote my site, but i do quite like this colour so will prob end up leaving them yellow and red.

They look well good, not sure how you can tell about cameras being able to focus on them though...
G's bright orange track bike I have problems with, just because it's bright doesn't make it easy.

Here boss. Only going back to uni for 2 weeks (freshers and week after) not enjoying 1 of the subjects tho so don't see the point of getting in £13k debt if i dont enjoy it.
Passed the first year, so going to apply for a certificate saying that then get a job.
So i'll be back in Essex all the time from beginning of october. Got a plastic repairing kit from halfords in the garage so that'll be comming out. so will be playing with that and sorting my bike out in November.
Yer i think it was a good deal, he wanted £200 for them and has had LOADS of offers to end it early, but they wanted him to post it. So after loads of badgering from me i managed to get him to close the deal at £150 and i would collect them :grin2

Cheers. It was just a rough guess.
From all the pics i took at Lydden the best/sharpest ones yer of the yellow CBR and that guy in the bright yellow leathers. Altho that could be coincidence. lol. Meh anyway i hope its easy to focus on.
Ah ok, haven't seen many of your pics of G's bike so wouldn't know.

Well picked them up today.
Lovly paint job, although there are alot of scratches and dents and what not.
Took them all apart when i got home, 1 fairing bolt was rounded off, so had to drill it out.
A little bit of work ahead - hopefully T-Cut will sort most of it out. Also got a plastic kit in the garage from halfords, that'll come out fix one break in the nose cone, and strenghtenup other parts.
Will post pics once i've get to work on it (prob thurs)
Paul
