Well its an 03 bike, which having radial brakes makes it a bit more desirable, and in truth a lot of people out there looking for RSV's still prefer the look of the earlier shape too so the prices they go for is still relatively good.

I would have to say if you are going to throw it on Ebay i would likely set the starting bid at £4500 with no reserve and no buy it now option but state that it is advertised elsewhere at a higher price and you reserve the right to pull it from the auction ;)

At least then if it looks like its not going to increase on the bids you have an excuse to yank it, or you could pull it anyway and state that it got crashed :D

You could also sweeten the deal by advertising the track fairings with it as a bonus but i would be tempted then to up the starting price to around £4795 to cover them and hope that the bike fetches a little over £5000 realistically.

The advert mentioning something along the lines of, bought the bike with the view to going on the track but never got the chance so the fairings might aswell go with it blah blah blah.

First things first though and this is where a lot of people fall down on Ebay, you need to get the bike spotless in my opinion, and take some pictures with a good quality camera, as many as Ebay will allow, with a decent backdrop that shows the bike off, and where possible with a date time stamp on the picture (people then dont question what it looks like at the moment and dont get left wondering if its going to look different when they get there.)

Also if its still got any of the old RSVR.net stickers on, get rid of them :)
