been doing some research into the mid to high end rattling. after a few phone calls to diff bike shops it would appear thet the timing chain tensioner is shagged. apparently this is a common prob on the srads. just wondering if any one else has had experiences with this. it would appear that this also affect tlr's and busa's. im hoping im right on this!
i appologise for my rubbish spelling!!
cheers people

It also affects VTRs mate, get them changed now. Maybe around £100 to get them changed, but compared to what the bill will be if one fails and shags your heads and possible pistons its a small price to pay!
You can get manual adjustment ones which will never fail but you have to check the adjustment regularly.

could also be valve clearances need checking over? means head off to check shim settings. hard to so without hearing first hand. nothing to major by sounds of it. just needs little TLC.
