Right, I have just dropped the forks out, and I have a few questions which need answering pweese :D

firstly my front wheel rim has a dent >>>

Is this repairable? anyone know who can do it and and a rough price? is it recommended to fix or replace?

secondly, as some of you know, i recently bought and recieved my upside down forks. Brilliant news right? well, after dropping the bent forks and inspecting/planning how the USD ones will go in i have realised (please save the insults and giggles) they will not fit the yokes! :( and as if my day couldnt get worse, motrax sent me the wrong double hard engine casing, i wanted the gene cover/LHS not clutch cover/RHS!!!! and I missed a parcel this morning, i say missed the postman must of left a note saying where to collect and then walked past me and said hello in my garage! :( outraged! please help

Sorry Shorty, when you mentioned the other night at the pub that you had USD forks from a 750 i just assumed that you had the yokes that go with it too :( (the yokes steering stem are a straight swap and fit on a 600 frame aswell as the 750).

So yes you definitely need 750 yokes, but guess what, you need 750 clip ons too as the 600 ones, wont fit the 750 forks ;)

As for the wheel, i assume looking at it, it would be repairable, but i reckon you might find it cheaper to get another wheel ;)

Just a thought, are the wheels the same seeing as the forks are different?

wheels are interchangeable but the mud guard will need changing too i think.

here is a few links but make sure you shop around because the parts are interchangeable from the 750 with the TL1000S/R too ;)

Clip ons are easy enough to sort out because you can get pattern part ones of them :)

Not too sure about the calipers, essentially as long as the 4 pot calipers on the 600 have the same distance between the mounting holes it should be okay.

Well, Gave them a ring today and dropped my wheel off. Discs are bent too, so they are checking it all out and repairing it for me. Under a week they sed. Even before ive got my wheel back I can say they are very helpful and explained how they are going to repair the wheel and explained costs and details of what would have to be done if it cracked whilst they were repairing it. Im very happy with the service at the moment. Just cant wait for the results :D

Cheers Crescent

Yea! wicked, I like it when you know whats being done for your money! Fairly priced and if the results are as good as people say, AWESOME! what he basically sed to me was if when they are repairing the dent the rim cracks, he will need to rebuild the rim and weld it. costing a little more but if it needs doing. Top blokes, very friendly and helpful. cant ask for more can you? wait maybe do it for free? lol
