Im about to buy one of these, and its completely standard!!!

Im happy with it being standard until ive learnt all there is to know about gears... wont take long im sure.. (Very keen rider :laugh1)

Hoping for some advice with modifying the bike, as well as best brands to buy and where to buy!!

theres nothing to it (gears) you will catch on in no time. As for 'MODS' lol it really is about knowing what they do! no point sticking something on ur bike just cos someone tells ya to ;)

Well a definite mod is the exhaust as the one currently on it is a bit.. ****ty lookin!

He is on the industrial estate next to Rayleigh Weir off the A127 :)

Although i would probably take a look at Stan Stephens if its 2 stroke stuff you are after :)
