the easiest thing to do would be to get a loan to pay the finance off. then the loan is not secured against the bike, you will still owe money but they can't take the bike if you dont pay up, and the HPI will show no finance owing.

then you'd need to sell the bike and pay the loan off.

i think faceslider did a P/X on a bike with finance still oweing on it so it must be possible?

the problrm you have is both bikes are bent there were in road worthy condition you could trade it in the shop would pay of the rest of the HP and whats left if any would go towards your deposit for the new one

One thing you need to check, which is reffered to by Harrie.

First thing you need to be sure of is the bike is on HP and not personal loan. Don't assume because it's with some one like Blackhorse it's not a personal loan.

The bike I bought (Aprilia) is (was) on finance with Blackhorse but it was a personal loan not HP so the previous owner did not have to settle if he didn't want to. As it turned out he did.

If theres anything I can do to help give me a shout (I'm an account manager for Blackhorse)

Cheers
