Oooooohhh I'm liking you and hating you at the same time :D
I'm extremely pleased to hear of the big differences between the two... and your 400 was faster than mine (most likely! :D ) gives me something to look (very very very far) forward to :D
But I hate you because you are living my dream :D
GO JOE - GO JOE - GO JOE in a ricky lake style gyration of the arms :D

haha lol dnt get me wrong the cbr is realy good and i hate to see it go,but i do personaly think the power diff is a big diffrence and it seems nicer to corner with but its all dwn to personal opinion, and also for them short people who say they cnt get their knee dwn on a 600 it is lol i just proved it today

Aahhh but Joe, I think you could get your knee down on anything! You might as well have been lying on the tarmac going round the track on that CBR :D Awesome! But I'd like to see elbows down next time please :D
I think I would've been both amazed and really disappointed if I'd have gotten a 600 and found it was hardly any different to my 400. Of course its all down to personal opinion like you say - Of course I don't have an opinion about the difference myself, as I've never ridden a 600 - but now, I live in hope thanks :D :laughboun
So, apart from top end speed and handling, whats the acceleration difference like? :) Have you redlined the R6 in each gear yet? :D :D

Its likely a bit more than 40bhp in truth most early R6's were putting out around 98/100 at the wheel before any slip on can etc
I think Albere mentioned his was around 70bhp, to be honest given that the CBR400 isnt known for putting out big bhp figures (The VFR and RVF were more tuneable) and given that a standard one is 57bhp at the crank, it would take some serious tuning, but its likely that with a full system, air filter and dynojet kit that it should be at least 60 at the wheel, so straight away there will be at least 40bhp more for him, more if the bike isnt actually as powerful.
However, the CBR400 only has around 28ft/lbs of torque (torque being the acceleration that pulls your arms out :D ).
The R6 on average has around 50ft/lbs and even though it only has an extra 200cc it has nearly double the pulling power.
Better still the CBR400 weighs around 180kg dry, the R6 weighs around 169kg dry and has a far more powerful power to weight ratio all in all, the same can be pretty much said for all 600's, even more so with all the new 600's putting out around 130bhp
And with someone of Joes weight on it, it makes for a pretty rapid package :D

Good to hear your enjoying it.
If you ever feel like your getting bored of it in the future just down gear it, that'll keep you on your toes for a little bit longer!
