View Full Version : Freezing Ipod
I know nobody here is a specialist in ipods at all, at least not that i know of.. but im having trouble with my ipod.:(
I listen to my songs and it used to freeze up when i went to change songs.. i learnt how to reset the ipod and used that.
Eventually, i got fed up of its constant freezing and searched the net and was told by someone to restore it, which i have done. :)
Now it doesent freeze as much ;)but it does during the middle of songs and i cant reset it , it did it yesterday and i had to let it drain the battery (it had frozen with the backlight stuck on). :(
Just put it on charge and nothings lost but the damn thing is really getting on my nerves! :angrypun :headshoot
I have a replacement battery, but apple, being apple, have made it nearly impossible to get the ipod apart... i have tools with the battery and have been hacking at the ipod all night... to no avail.. :shooter
Anybody able to help here??
Would be very grateful! Thanks in advance! :D

i thinkyou have to get apple to change the battery for you...take it to see an apple GENIUS, theres one at bluewater......they'll sort it for you. If not you can take your ipod to the same genus and they do a trade in for your old one!

down to the dartford crossing...over the bridge, first exit off and follow the signs!

Will have to look into that if it comes to that.. does that hit the motorway? as i cant go on them on a 125.:shooter
Wont be riding till my pay day next week.. so saying that... i wont have a day off till my pay day next week.:rockon
And yes i would send it back to Apple, but i bought it off fleabay.. so i cant be sure whether it is in the warranty or not? Although i do have the warranty book in the box..
It seems to work better than when i had other songs on there.
Ive heard getting songs from things like Limewire and other p2p networks can cause problems (i use limewire?) but my mate downloads all his songs on my pc and puts them on his nano and doesent have a problem.
Im stumped for ideas.. i dont know if its within the warranty or not?
:grin1 Damn thing! :laughboun

Dartford crossing is the M25, other than that you will have to take the A13 to the Harwich ferry or the Blackwall tunnel and go along the A2 all the way to Bluewater!

Check the AtoZ, If i remember rightly the dartford crossing is not part of the m25, It ends at the first entrance onto the crossing and starts again after the first exit off of it!
So what 125 ya got Tooey?

I always thought the Dartford crossing was the A282? ;) (which interupts the M25 :) )

So a 125 can cross the bridge if rider is on CBT only? I'll be buggered!! Never realised that.

Just looked, if you get on at the Circus Tavern junction and off at the Crossways one, you never touch the motorway. Brilliant. Liza can ride to Bluewater :)

I think because its one of the primary routes to take you across the Thames, they werent allowed to designate it as a Motorway (and something to do with toll regulations at the time too) because it would restrict movement too much for anyone that didnt have a full car licence.
Not too sure i would want to take a 125 over the bridge anyway, and if i did i would be picking my time of day wisely for sure ;) :D
On our side of the water the M25 finishes underneath the A13/M25 Junction and then restarts at the A2/M25 Junction, the bit in between is the A282.

Most people take it for granted that its a motorway but there are actually signs if i recall that state that any motorway prohibited vehicles have to leave at them junctions (although i am normally in "use the force" mode going through the crossings :D )
Also 125cc Bikes can use the Motorways.........its No 50cc or Learners and others but they ain't bike related.
The only L plated vehicles that can use the Motorways are person's that have a full license and are learning to drive a HGV

The bridge would be no problem if not to windy, wouldn't fancy the tunnel at rush hour though!
So what 125 ya got Tooey?
The grand old.. HONDA CG125 (Old Style. 1980 era)
Ill show you when i get it on the road.. was supposed to have it by end of the week but ive lost my wallet with my license, national insurance etc on it! :( lifes so cruel to me... damn it.

ggrrrrr@ipods' bought my little sister one for birthday/christmas /18th last year. It started to freeze so she reset it, and now the lcd has 'bled' and the board has gone completely.
That was what a company said that fix em. cant remmber there name, but you send it to them, they charge £15 to look at it i think it was. They can supply the boards and screens and fix em basically, or buy it from you so they have for spares.
Sis's is less than a year old and apple wont do anything on warranty saying she must have done it somewhoe. They w*****s. £170 notes down the drain. Will cost £120 to repair so still deliberating on it.
Hope you get oyur ssorted mate. type ipod repair into google.
